Deek dating Service

This service is provided for members of the DKW Owners Club. For existing members the service is free. For new members, joining for the purpose of obtaining a dating letter, there is a surcharge of £20 in addition to the membership fee which is currently £20 (this fee is waived for those members who have been club members for a continuous period of more than 12 months.)

It is occasionally possible to inspect the vehicle /machine but normally we require some photographs of the vehicle / machine which comprise of two photographs of the complete vehicle / machine, also clear photographs of the makers plate, the frame number and the engine number.

We offer a dating service to verify the year of manufacture of the vehicle / machine and also the type and model in order to register an imported vehicle / machine in the UK or for the purpose of re-instating an original UK registration number. Note that in the latter case the owner would need to provide documentation to link the vehicle /machine to that registration e g an old style registration document. Please note that DVLA will not accept a tax disc.

We hold records for Auto Union / DKW cars, commercial and military vehicles and records for DKW motorcycles up until 1959 manufactured by Auto Union / DKW and also scooters produced by Manurhin based on the DKW Hobby. We are unable to help with DKW badged machines produced by Zweirad Union.
