Long-time MUNGA enthusiasts may remember the first reproduction of the floor sheet about eight years ago. It was the first time the entire sheet was remanufactured to original specifications and quickly became a vital part for restorers in the MUNGA community.
A second batch was produced around four years ago, but that stock is now nearly gone. Occasionally, individual sheets have surfaced from owners with unused spares or surplus stock.
However, the tin supplier will soon no longer be available. This may be the final opportunity to press new floor sheets that match the original.
Due to the high production costs, we need to gauge interest to assess the financial risk. Unfortunately, we must make a decision within the next three weeks.
If you're interested in purchasing a newly pressed, original-style floor sheet, please let us know by 31 July 2025.
The price is expected to be around €350, making it an affordable opportunity for anyone restoring or rebuilding a DKW MUNGA.
If there is enough interest, we plan to offer a second production run, with orders secured by deposit, as was done in 2021.
